Team

Chad Smith – Founder & CEO

Chad has spent most of his career in the private equity industry functioning in various operating roles within the media and telecommunication industry. During this time Chad directed the development of new products and helped set the strategic vision of each company.

In 2011, determined to change the way media was created and consumed, Chad and his partners created Allegory. At Allegory, Chad sets the innovative tone for the company’s three main imprints and alongside his team, creates the most rich media experiences possible.

When not running Allegory, Chad enjoys skiing where ever he can find snow, hiking, kayaking and anything to do with animals. He hopes to one day master stand-up paddling. Chad is also actively involved in Seattle’s venture community and works with several non-profits that are close to his heart.

David Fawley – COO

After many years working in strategy and business development at leading global consulting firms, David now keeps a close on eye on the operational health of Allegory.  Building off his years managing teams across the hall and around the globe, David enjoys working with the diverse and talented group of artists that help create the magic at Allegory.

When not managing the Allegory house, David is actively working on his golf game, although he continues to wonder why they place magnets around the course which divert his ball from the greens.

Lee Kohse – Creative Director

Prior to joining Allegory, Lee co-founded the indie comic publisher, BloodFire Studios  and created the hit underground comic Kindergoth.

Over the years, Lee has produced art for Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, Dreamworks, 20th Century Fox, Marvel, IDW, Indiana Jones, Angel, Nike, Reebok, and Verizon. Lee is also a regular sketch card contributor to Topps, Rittenhouse Archives, and Inkworks. Outside of the studio, Lee is a contributing author to the Photoshop Cafe, producing instructional videos on traditional painting techniques in a digital environment and is a technical adviser to several of Cengage Learning’s digital art text books.

Dennis Greenhill – Director of  Special Projects

In the years leading up to joining Allegory Media, Dennis co-founded the acclaimed indie publishing house, Bloodfire Studios. He had a hand in every aspect of publishing.Dennis developed, wrote, and even created a few panels of art for the well-received vampire tale Dark Tarot, co-wrote The DNA Hacker Chronicles (based on the film “The Gene Generation”) with award-winning film director and series creator Pearry Teo. Dennis also made his film debut by writing, directing, and producing a short film based on Dark Tarot.
Dennis acted as both the Editor-in- Chief and V.P. of Publishing for BloodFire Studios, handling day-to-day operations, publishing, and distribution for the company.
When not brow-beating talent into submission, he spends his time as a professional photographer and, strangely enough, completely removed from entertainment as a part of the medical staff of USA Rugby.
